Ok so there are some big changes that have been made since I have last been here, so forgive me while I get a feel for the new Deviant Art, while I get the hang of things.

I have been away for a while so I wanted to say sorry to everyone who I have not responded to, and everyone who I seemed to ignore during my hiatus. Things have been hectic, and I am working on trying to get into a regular schedule again, I know I have said that before, but I am going to start trying to be active on a more frequent bases. I make no promises, but I will see what I can do.

Thanks to everyone who has continued to follow me, and comment and favorite my work. I hope to work on getting some new stuff posted, and in the future do not hesitate of message me if you want anything I will make an effort to check in more often to do my best to actually respond in a timely manner.

The Dead Return

1 min read
So I have been gone time

where have I been......

I slipped down a long dark hole

wandered about a maze

and finally found  way out

Now I will slowly start reintroducing myself

after I do some maintenance clear some stuff out and get square I will start by posting a new poem

I will probably be leaving a lot of my current groups

nothing against them I just want to be a bit low key for a while

after a long hibernation I do not want overstimultion

For a while I have been thinking I needed a new blog post because frankly I was getting tired of looking at my old Christmas entry that was still up but honestly I could not really think of anything new and interesting to say. Well I can always count on DA to give me something new to rant and rave about. They never disappoint there.

As I always say when I begin one of my "WHY DA WHY" rants there is a lot of really good things about DA and I think the community it provides artists is great, and the fact that it is free is a wonderful thing but at the same time they do things sometimes that I find to be utterly and completely maddening. I hate it when any website finds the need to make changes just for the sake of making changes and feel like they are doing something. Ever hear the phrase "if it ain't broken don't fix it?"

The latest change I just noticed (I do not know if it is indeed a permanent new update or a temporary glitch) is extremely inconvenient and I really do not understand it if indeed this is a new lasting change. When browsing deviations in my Deviant Watch as well you know to the left of the deviation there is an add to favorites button, and there was right under that a remove button which made it easy to delete deviations from your Deviant Watch and then would automatically bring up the next deviation for you to view once you removed the previous one.

Well guess what? It seems that the "Remove" button has itself been removed. It is no longer visible under "Add to Favorites" I looked around to see if it maybe was moved somewhere else on the page, but I cannot find it anywhere.

So now it seems the only way to remove a deviation from your Deviant Watch is that every time you view a deviation you than have to back to the thumbnail page and click on the x by the thumbnail. This is far more time consuming than being able to just click on "Remove" after viewing each deviation.

My parody of the Twelve Days of Christmas song. Yes I was too lazy to actually repeat all the lines but you get the idea.

On the first day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
a raven in an oak tree

On the second day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
two screeching owls

On the third day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
three hungry vultures

On the fourth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
four cawing crows

On the fifth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
five haunted rings

On the sixth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
six wolves a howling

On the seventh day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
seven bats a flying

On the eighth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
eight vampires a biting

On the ninth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
nine devils dancing

On the tenth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
ten ghouls a leaping

On the eleventh day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
eleven zombies gnawing

On the twelfth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
twelve banshees screaming

On the thirteenth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me
thirteen hearts still beating.
