"Impalement"

Of course Vlad the Impaler was the first thing that came to my mind, but that seemed a bit too obvious, and I decided not to take this in too literal a direction.

Than the first 2 lines of the poem popped into my head and would not go away, but I had to avoid the risk of them sounding like just some heartbreak poem, so I decided to do something very minimalistic.
