Originally I was actually working on another idea I had (which I still plan to do) but in the process the idea for this suddenly popped into my head. A bit of fun gender bending. I really enjoyed the musical Victor and Victoria and there was this photographer whose name eludes me now who did this really cool project in which he took photos of men, and had one half of the male faces done up to look like a woman.

I also love Young's concept of the anima and animus, the idea being that the anima is the feminine side of every man and the animus is the masculine side of every woman.
