Literature Text

....and I am certain I would drown without you
because when there is negative space between us,
and only silence and grayness,
my throat tightens and I cannot draw breath
my heart refuses to beat
or does triple time
to music that is not here

(and I cannot get the words of the monk out of my mind. He told me of the prayer he whispered constantly, without stopping, until his heart beat to the rhythm of the words, and forever inside of him, sung hymns to the divine)

yes, your name so often upon my lips,
that I inhale it, exhale,
with every drawn and given breath
your name a whisper in my heart,
but at moments, on quiet nights
when I do not feel your touch,
cannot see your eyes,
nor hear your voice,
it becomes a defining scream.

Filled with need, unbearable, unbreakable
but strangely beautiful, yet it leaves me
writhing on the floor, only your hands can soothe me.

(I am locked within conflict with myself, there is nothing I would love more than to be saved by you, they say all girls dream of white knights, but I was never one of them, I always believed in fighting my own battles, and I would do anything to be the one to slay your dragons...and yet, I would love to be swept away in your arms, and witness your vengeance in action)

I cling to your strength
but your vulnerability melts me,
when I take you within my arms
and you know you can let go
because my love and my wrath are equally fierce,
and I know you would kill or die for me,
but I am the one who protects you in a way
no one else can.

This is really well written. I like the parts that are enclosed within parentheses, it adds variety and seems to enhance the tone of the other stanzas. Sorry for commenting on a lot of your stuff. I just find myself relating to this particular writing the most, so I didn't want to pass up leaving a commend behind.
