Becoming Divine

I happened upon this image of Isis holding a staff that almost looked like a Lily which recalled to my mind, this stock model of whose work I was quite found of and it gave me an idea.

This piece represents a priestess who is ascending into a state of goddess hood. The river is symbolic both of its reflective properties, meant to represent the priestess seeing a reflection of herself on the other side, as well within various different works of mythology a journey across water is required to reach the underworld (and the death of her mortal self is required for the rebirth in her divinity. Water is also symbolic of birth/rebirth.

The color white (and the Lilly flower) are also both symbols of purtiy, and death.
